The basic premise of Vocatix has always been to give all musicians, regardless of status, a platform through which they can create, discuss, and live-stream music. To give power back to the people! Spotify, Apple Music, and other titans have a rather (to say the least) large stranglehold over the entire industry. This has created an uneven playing field that can be challenging for new entrants, regardless of their skill and drive, to find stable footing in. However, all of that will be in the past tense once Vocatix launches in December, following our soft beta launch in October. By melding the unique and complex experiences of both live musical performance and the development of rich, collaborative communities, we hope to take hip-hop, freestyling, and even streaming music in general to new heights!
