De Stichting Voedselbank Amsterdam (VBA) zet zich in voor huishoudens die niet meer in staat zijn om dagelijks het brood op de plank te krijgen. Wij functioneren als een schakel tussen overschot en verborgen gebrek in onze maatschappij.
Voedsel dat goed eetbaar is maar niet meer verkocht wordt, bieden wij zowel huishoudens als sociale restaurants aan.
Voedselpakketten voor huishoudens verstrekken wij via distributiepunten. Daarbij maken wij zoveel mogelijk gebruik van bestaande infrastructuren.
Onze hulp kan niet plaatsvinden zonder de financiële steun van bedrijven, fondsen, overheden en particulieren.
