The Vrindavan Research Institute was founded in November 1968 by public spirited philanthropist scholar Dr. R. D. Gupta of the school of Oriental and African Studies University of London. Institue was formally inaugurated by Dr.Karan Singh the then Union Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
