Wagtail Coffee & Yoga is a nod to the migratory birds among us looking for a place to perch for awhile, grab a drink, enjoy the view and restore their energy. For now our espresso machine sits steam-less and the bakery case is empty. The tables host no conversations and the yoga studio is far too still, even for yoga. This was not what we had in mind for Wagtail. But while the space rests, empty, the vision endures. The extra time only feeds our determination to make Wagtail as warm and wonderful a gathering space as we ever imagined and a bit sweeter still, because we will have waited longer for it, through a chilly spring of loss and not-knowing. When it’s all over we’ll be here, welcoming you back to Chichester’s city centre.
