Since experiencing the struggles of mental health mid-pandemic, we have explored what support is out there for men of all ages. There are some really great companies including @mindcharity @samaritanscharity and in the industry I work in (hospitality) @theburntchefproject. Of course, there are many more.
However, it can sometimes take a big leap of faith to dive into those support provisions. Sometimes, it is easier to have a chat with the lads. That is where the idea of going on a walk and being able to talk was born.
Following on from the good work @walkandtalk_edinburgh have started, we hope to encourage any man in The Midlands who may be struggling to get out in the open, come and join us, and start dialogue that may help alleviate the pressures, worries, stresses and depression many of us feel from time to time.
Our initial few walk routes will be shared in the near future via our Instagram page. Follow the "Visit Website" tab to head straight there.
Bring plenty of fluids, dress appropriately for the weather, and wear comfortable footwear you don't mind getting dirty.
