The MacRitchie Challenge, powered by http://walk-to-talk.com, was established in Singapore in January 2023 by Tom Platts. What started as a New Year walk in Singapore's MacRitchie Reservoir with a friend and client one weekend has grown exponentially and in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Dementia Singapore, and dementia and Alzheimer's care globally, we have become a movement – with in excess of 1,100 people from 46 different countries walking or running with me the 12.2 km loop of Singapore's Central Catchment Area or similar distances in each of London, New York and Paris. The MacRitchie Challenge has garnered a lot of attention in the press and on the television, and in 2025 there will be significant new changes to it in order to grow and develop for the benefit of Singapore and Singaporeans as a whole.
