WAT is Zine? is a student zine publication at the University of Waterloo. We aim to provide a platform for students to showcase their original creative work.
So, what is a zine?
Zines ("fanzines") are historically self-made, non-commercial, and underground publications with roots in sci-fi and punk music fanbases. We keep some of that in our zine — they're all free to flip through on our website!
Each month has a different zine theme where any and all UW students can submit their creative work (artwork, poems, photography, etc) to us for a chance to be published.
