Wave is the portfolio manager and makes investment decisions for all of the funds. All investment decisions are discussed and ratified by the Investment Review Committee made up of both the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Wave believes quantitative models based on price history can assist in forecasting which asset class (small/mid cap, large cap, US, Canada etc) and investment style (value, growth, momentum etc) will outperform benchmarks and generate excess market returns. Wave employs a combination of proprietary quantitative models to help us make strategic and tactical investment decisions.
Wave is a “Fund-of-Funds” manager. Each of our Business Cycle Funds (Funds) uses multiple professional money managers, known as sub-advisors, to manage a portion of the Fund. Wave picks the sub-advisors and the amount to be invested with each depending on the objectives of each Fund.
