Webbing Industries Australia commenced operations in 1949 as a lace manufacturer, at that time named Price Shepshed Pty Ltd. This was a jointly owned business between two companies; G.W Price and Shepshed lace, the business was acquired by Greatorex Textile Industries Pty Ltd in 1986.
Over the coming years the company added lingerie elastics and other webbings to its range. With the demise of the lingerie industry in 2000 the company was forced to diversify its product range towards industrial rigid webbings and also relocate to a much larger 8000 square metre premises where the business is still located today.
In February 2007 the company changed its name to Webbing Industries Australia P/L to more accurately represent the nature of the business.
Today Webbing Industries Australia still operates as a proud Australian family owned and operated business.
