We believe that technology needs to be centred around human wellbeing and support the human mind. We examine which types of Artificial Intelligence increase or decrease human wellbeing. At our research institute, we create and support innovative forms of AI technology which are driven by human wellbeing.
We are a network of Artificial Intelligence and psychology scientists, industry experts, companies and policy makers that want to create a better tomorrow through the wise use of AI. We call this sapioAI - from the Latin verb sapere, meaning “to be wise” or “to have sense”. AI needs not just be intelligent, but also incorporate or be built with wisdom, and the long term human wellbeing in mind.
Our research institute helps businesses assess their artificial intelligence systems, supports them in creating AI for human wellbeing, or restructuring their existing AI in more humanistic ways. We build or support start-ups that are building AI for human wellbeing. We support policy makers and various organisations with research on the state of AI as regarding human wellbeing.
