Stichting West’ival heeft als doel de verschillende bewoners uit de Mercatorbuurt, Amsterdam West en Amsterdam nader tot elkaar te brengen en de buurt rond het Mercatorplein, die steeds gezelliger en beter bekend wordt, een positieve impuls te geven. Het festival is een plek waar bezoekers van verschillende nationaliteiten en culturen elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en genieten van kwaliteitsfilms, live muziek en tentoonstellingen.
