Westpine Armature Winders was established in 1973, founded by Sydney Towell who is semi-retired after more than 46 years in the industry. Westpine is managed & run by Clinton & Gareth Towell, who for the past 29 years have consistently taken Westpine from strength to strength.
In accordance with the Broad Based Economic Empowerment Act, Westpine has been verified a B-BBEE company, by a SANAS accredited BEE verification agency.

Westpine is SABS approved & complies with the new ISO 9001:2015 Management System as well as the SANS 10242-1 accreditation. Westpine is Flame-Proof, Spark-Proof & DIP certified. The company operates from premises i excess of 1200sqm. The staff compliment exceeds 40 well trained & experienced employees. A fleet of 12 vehicles consisting of 7 bakkies & 5 trucks, which are available for collections & deliveries.
Westpine specializes in AC & DC motors, including AC variable speed motors, submersible pumps, Servo motors, Tacho-generators, welding machines, transformers, generators, alternators & lighting plants. The company carries a large stock of reconditioned and new motors and on many occasions is able to offer a service exchange thereby preventing downtime. (AC motors ranging from 0.09kw to 900kw). On site Vibration Analysis is available on motors.
We have a fully equipped engineering department for general engineering, fabrication & most importantly to eliminate delays on mechanical repairs in the armature winding department. Other on-site facilities include sandblasting and a calibrated load testing bay.
Westpine are agents & preferred suppliers for Zest Electric Motors, Actom (GEC) & Motorelli & are one of only two approved repairers in KwaZulu-Natal for WEG motors. Only SKF & Fag bearings are used unless otherwise requested.
