What Dance Can Do supports initiatives harnessing the power of dance for greater social inclusion and well-being of children and young adults who do not have an easy access to dance.
We are a non-profit organization, born from the belief that dance changes lives. We organize dance workshops and performances for children and teenagers affected by illness, poverty, exile and social exclusion.
Thanks to our partners and ambassadors -including internationally renowned artists, choreographers and Principal dancers-, our projects see the light of day in Europe, Africa and as far as New Zealand.
Since 2018, several hundreds of children and teenagers staying in orphanages, children's hospitals, temporary shelters for unaccompanied minors or living in slums have been able to discover and/or practice the art of dance. For a few hours, dancing allows them to dream and escape from their daily life. Dance also brings them confidence and self-esteem, as well as discipline; it helps social inclusion, emancipation, communication, memorization, concentration and awakens curiosity.
