The WTIDC serves the 3,850 citizens of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. Our profits are used to support our citizens and the local community of our Tribal Jurisdiction.
Historically, the Wichita, Waco, Keechi, and Tawakoni People flourished on the Great Plains. Masters of agrarian systems and skilled in commercial trade, our ancestors lived throughout present day Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Today, our Tribal Jurisdiction is located in the northern half of Caddo County, Oklahoma.
The Wichita Tribe Industrial Development Commission (WTIDC) is the economic development entity of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. WTIDC was established under the Wichita Tribe Industrial Development Act of 1992 (Wichita Public Law No. 92-100-001) pursuant to the authority vested in the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma by Article Five of the Wichita Governing Resolution. WTIDC’s responsibility is to manage and grow the tribe’s commercial, tribal, and federal portfolio and provide viable economic sustainability.
