Wigan & Leigh Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with incurable illnesses as well as those people important to our patients.
We’re a registered charity funded mainly through the donations and support of local people.
We provide expert palliative care and support - not just from within our hospice building, but also out in the community to people living in their own homes through our community nursing teams.
Our aim is to make a real difference to people with life-limiting illnesses and to support their families and carers. It's very much a myth that a hospice is only for those who are close to death: we often provide skilled care, help and support over an extended period of time to people living with a life-limiting illness.
