Willmore Youth Foundation Overview

Willmore Youth Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in 2019 by Poeletso Willmore Nambo. The organisation was started as a response to the leadership gap that exist in our society especially amongst the youth. Part of WYF purpose is to ensure that the youth across South African communities make wise career choices, as well as lifestyle decisions that would allow them to contribute greatly to the economic growth of the country and subsequently the world. Our mission is to work strategically with the youth in an attempt to develop their leadership skills, build their capacity, and help them to individually make wise lifestyle choices as well as better career goals and choices. We aim to achieve this by hosting career and entrepreneurship days, as well as linking them to job shadowing opportunities. We also conduct workshops to primary and secondary school prefects and RCLs. We are currently working with 2 schools in Tembisa. Furthermore, we also address the issue of substance abuse and mental health amongst the youth. Lastly, WYF also helps learners to apply to universities, conduct university preparation support to new first year students so that they deal better with the pressure as new students.
