WindMW GmbH, founded in 2008, was responsible for the planning and construction of the 288MW-Offshore Wind Farm Meerwind Süd | Ost. Beginning in May 2016, WindMW Service GmbH with headquarters in Bremerhaven is exclusively performing all services within the operation & maintenance sector of this offshore wind farm located 23 km north of Helgoland. Since September 2014 the wind farm has been operating with 80 wind turbines of the 3.6MW-class. With a total output of 288 megawatts, up to 360,000 households can be supplied with green energy.
