The Everett J. Waring - Juanita Jackson Mitchell Law Society of Howard County has been a Specialty Bar Association since 1985 committed to serving the needs of the community through workshops, advocacy, mentoring programs, voter registration drives, and interviewing and recommending judges for vacancies on the bench.
Attorneys and founders, Jo M. Glasco and James E. Henson created Waring-Mitchell to provide professional enrichment activities and forums to address the unique concerns of African American attorneys. They named their law society after two pioneering civil rights attorneys and Marylanders: Everett J. Waring and Juanita Jackson Mitchell.
This collective of community warriors promulgate collegiality within the legal professionals well as champion the responsiveness of the profession to the citizenry.
