Women Empowered Columbus is a local network of passionate and driven women. WE aims to empower women by sharing information and resources, connecting face-to-face with female leaders, and being active in our community.
Women Empowered was founded by Lauren Balazs in June 2015. She was inspired by the career website for millennials, levo.com, but wanted to be a part of a supportive network and help other women in the community. Members read self development books on career, personal finance, and topics relevant to where they are in life. Every month, WE gets together to discuss their thoughts and new learnings. Our amazing members are professionals working in fields ranging from healthcare, to fashion, to energy & natural gas.
Book discussion meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00-8:30pm at various locations around the city. Other meetings are scheduled periodically.
