The Working Life Project is a personal project of David Harkins.
It seems that a good many people work to live; they strive to do the least amount of work for the most pay, so they can clock out at a reasonable hour and do what they want to do.
Most entrepreneurs, on the other hand, never try to achieve any balance between work and “life.” To the contrary, work and life are truly integrated. They inherently understand that it’s all just about living.
The Working Life Project’s mission is to capture and share the life stories of entrepreneurial life.
I’m fascinated with stories of small business and the people behind them, from the mom and pop shops to the guy who has a corner garage, to the family who runs the bakery in town. These are the people that keep our local economies going and no one is telling their stories.
With the Working Life Project, my goal is to capture those “living” stories of entrepreneurs and small business owners. I want to learn about their motivations, worries, frustrations, dreams, and aspirations.
These are stories that need telling.
The Working Life Project Podcast capture those stories and create a record of entrepreneurial life in the 21st Century.
