Wound Healing Centres specialises in the prevention and healing of wounds and was established in 1999 by Sylvie Hampton and Fiona Collins. Sylvie has an international reputation for healing wounds and Fiona for preventing pressure injury, particularly in the seated patient. Our multidisciplinary team includes experts in healing longstanding wounds and in the prevention and healing of pressure injury. We have substantial experience of wound dressings and therapies. Our multi-disciplinary clinicians are experienced, innovative and have a proactive approach to wound healing; they share a common goal of commitment to best practice, through promoting and supporting community based treatment, health promotion, education and collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Our practice is evidence based and our healing rates are the highest in the country. TVCS client base includes private patients, the NHS (Hospital Trusts and Primary Care Trusts), Social Services, Nursing Homes, other healthcare professionals and manufacturers of healthcare products.
Our business activities are broadly divided into two services. We operate a Wound Healing Centre (WHC) at our offices in Eastbourne, which provides clinical services; this will be discussed further below. We also provide consultancy services, such as research and development, education and expert witness.
