Woven International began in 2008 when two local women in Southeast Asia decided to do something about human trafficking in their community. It started with finding one girl who had been sold and welcoming her into their homes to begin a new life. This act of compassion sparked something bigger.
Today, Woven International has grown into a non-profit organization that breaks cycles of human trafficking in Southeast Asia through:
• Providing safe housing, safe work, and aftercare to those escaping or at risk of exploitation.
• Connecting with and training communities to spot the signs of human trafficking so they can stop it before it starts.
• Running businesses that offer safe work to locals, thereby making communities more resilient against exploitation by addressing poverty.
