"The Department of Irgoon and Israelis Abroad at the WZO, was established at the 38th Zionist Congress (October 2020) and is led by Ms. Gusti Yehoshua Braverman.
For the first time in the national institutions, a department was established whose main role is connecting with Israelis in the diaspora. The department is responsible for four areas of activity - Zionist Federations, connection with Israelis in the diaspora, the Bialik Institute, and organizational aspects of the World Zionist Organization.
The department's team in Jerusalem, together with staff and emissaries across 5 continents, has set a goal to strengthen the status of Zionism and Israel as part of 'Jewish peoplehood,' through creating opportunities for Zionist dialogue and examining Israel's role in shaping Jewish and Israeli identity in the diaspora.
We see ourselves committed to creating an inclusive space for all opinions and religious and political perspectives within the Jewish people, and are committed to echoing the voice of the diaspora in Israel."
