Main Project Profile: XTREME - Mixed Reality Environment for Immersive Experience of Art and Culture
Associate Professor Mairtín Cunneen is the Living Lab PI and leads a multidisciplinary research group based at the University of Limerick, dedicated to exploring the complex relationship between AI, ethics, regulation, and accountability. As a core research partner in the €8M Horizon Europe-funded XTREME project, we examine AI’s societal impacts and governance needs, ensuring that future AI systems are developed responsibly and ethically.
