XTI provides customized design-build, and servicing for Professional Audio, Video and Control systems. XTI's preferred automation partner is Crestron. also provides design, installation, programming, and servicing for Crestron Automation systems.
XTI has designed and installed AV systems in numerous schools including Byrne Creek Secondary; Burnaby Mountain; Burnaby North; Burnaby Central; West Van High; Rockridge; and too many others to mention here.
XTI designed, built and installed the first HexStar High Performance Omnidirectional Speaker Systems in the two gyms at Byrne Creek Secondary in 2004.
HexStar has since evolved into 4 models, featuring central down-firing woofers ranging from 14" to 21" diameters, surrounded by 6 high power coaxial drivers ranging from 6.5" to 12". All models are self-powered and feature Powersoft digital amplification & processing. HexStar uses drivers from B&C, Beyma, Eighteen Sound and Eminence, depeding on the model.
Certain models utilize Bag End INFRA Bass Processing.
XTI also builds custom electro-mechanical systems including custom speaker systems; custom control electronics; swing-out touchscreen monitors; moving TV's; etc.
We have completed projects as diverse as the custom build of the award trophies for the Jack Webster Foundation for 3 consecutive years, as well as custom prototype furniture for Erickson Architectural Design.
XTI personnel designed and installed all AV systems for 8 pavilions at Expo 86 in Vancouver, including the USA, Saudi Arabia, Brunei pavilions, as well as special effects lighting in the BC Pavilion.
XTI provides in-house machine shop services including lathes, milling machines, hydraulic presses, grinding and polishing, as well as both FDM (filament) and MSLA (resin) 3D printing.
We use AutoCAD, IntelliCAD and Fusion 360 for 3D design and custom circuit board layouts.
