Mark is on the Editorial Board of the Houston Bar Association’s The Houston Lawyer (magazine) and Behind the Lines: The Houston Lawyer Podcast. His podcasts include interviews with Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Jennifer Elrod on improving civility in civil litigation and Harris County Probate Judge Jerry Simoneaux on guardianships and pro bono work. The magazine recently published Mark's articles on arbitration and transfer on death deeds (real property).
Before founding Yablon Law, Mark interned or worked for a U.S. District Judge, a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, a County Court-at-Law Judge, Texas Attorney General, an insurance defense firm, a plaintiff’s class-action firm, and a few litigation and transactional law firms.
For two decades before attending law school, Mark was a commercial real estate redeveloper and property owner of Historic Downtown McKinney offices, restaurants, and retail while also advising business owners, professionals, and families with their insurance and investment planning through Northwestern Mutual, other carriers, and investment companies.
