Yarrow global Consulting is a non-profit based out of Germany. Our mission is to build gender equality through capacity building, consultancy, and collaborative design by developing a gender-responsive framework for global and planetary health.
Increasing awareness of gender inequality worldwide and its detrimental effects on the livelihood and wellbeing of women, girls and other marginalized groups has led to a reconsideration of gender mainstreaming policies within global policy and politics. While the recognition that differences in the status of women and men and their differential access to assets, resources, opportunities and services as well as their representation in leadership and decision making processes has had an impact on programs and guidelines in the past, the challenges facing the communities and health systems in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic call for a central focus on gender equality and its connections with Global and Planetary Health. Therefore, it is crucial to see the intersection of global health, the environment and gender equality.
