Asrama Yayasan TB Soposurung (formerly as Yayayasan Soposung/Yasop) was established in 1992 by Lt. Gen. TB Silalahi and other co-founders to be a place for Batak youths and other around Toba and Lake Toba to get a better educations and experience in semi-military education. This is joint-collaboration with the Ministry Education to provide an affordable and good quality education by maintaining its public school status while providing boarding school. This school has crafted thousands of generation who are Smart, Noble and Nationalist.
