Overview
YEEP Somalia is a pioneering volunteer association led by passionate Somali youth dedicated to empowering their peers and promoting Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) initiatives. Founded and supported by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT), YEEP Somalia is committed to driving change through innovative programs and collaborative efforts in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), youth-led peacebuilding, and education.
Our mission is to:
Empower Somali youth with tools, skills, and platforms to lead impactful change.
Promote active participation in peacebuilding, leadership, and critical thinking initiatives.
Collaborate with government, CSOs, and community leaders to foster inclusive and sustainable solutions.
Our Work
We design and deliver capacity-building programs that focus on leadership, peacebuilding, education, and civic engagement.
As advocates for youth empowerment, we host monthly events and training to amplify young voices in critical discussions.
We champion education initiatives, providing resources and opportunities to enhance youth skills and knowledge for a better future.
We leverage strategic partnerships with local and international organizations to enhance opportunities for Somali youth.

YEEP Somalia consists of dedicated alumni who are passionate about creating a lasting impact. We also engage broader youth networks, such as "Walaalaha YEEP," ensuring inclusivity and ownership within the community.
