The Y Hawke’s Bay has been serving the region since 1895, empowering tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau through inclusive programmes that build strong people, strong families, and strong communities.
We deliver a wide range of services including before and after school care, holiday programmes, youth development initiatives, and community events. Our youth programmes focus on leadership, wellbeing, and skill-building, and include activities like social meetups, podcasting, volunteering, and NZQA-accredited outdoor education.
Our team operates across multiple sites in Napier, Hastings, and Taradale, and also provides mobile outreach via the Y Ki Waho Play Trailer—bringing play, creativity, and connection directly to communities.
The Y is also a community hub, offering affordable venue hire, shared offices, and collaborative space for local groups and organisations. Everything we do is underpinned by our core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
