YOSMA, a Turkish Meyhane, Mangal and Raki bar opening in Marylebone this August that will bring together the three pillars of Istanbul’s social and eating out culture - meyhane, mangal, and seafood from the Bosphorus-adjacent restaurants of the capital city - all under one roof.
Designed by Afroditi Krassa, Yosma’s contemporary interior is inspired by Istanbul’s vast history and features an open kitchen with mangal grill and counter dining, restaurant and raki lounge bar. Executive Chef Hus Vedat previously of the Caxton Grill Barbecoa will be putting his spin on classic Istanbul dishes for the menu.
YOSMA is owned and operated by Good Food Society, founded by Levent Buyukugur and Sanjay Nandi. Good Food Society was created in 2013 by the founding partners of the international restaurant group Istanbul Doors. In 2014 Good Food Society partnered with the Frescobaldi Family to launch Ristorante Frescobaldi London. Ristorante Frescobaldi is an Italian restaurant that brings the Tuscan experience to Mayfair.
