Young Arbiters Society is a student-run institution founded with a view to promote access to justice through training and certification in different Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms as inspired by Article 159(2)(c) and 189(4) of the 2010 Constitution of the Republic of Kenya.
YAS-Strathmore is structured into three committees; Research Committee, Events and Planning Committee, and the Social Media Committee. Through these committees, we are able to create awareness about the various types of ADR mechanisms that are more suitable to solve certain disputes and hence reducing massive reliance on litigation as the only way most members of the public use to seek justice.
