Young Boys Academy offers young Tanzanian boys between the ages of 10 and 18 two extra chances: Football and Education. 📙⚽
Our goal is for our boys, by the age of 18, to have the opportunity to either pursue a career as a professional footballer in Europe or continue their academic journey at a university in Dar es Salaam. Or perhaps both—a football (soccer) scholarship in the USA.
Our philosophy is based on the holistic YMCA triangle: Body, Mind, and Spirit. All three elements of the triangle are equally important, and true holistic success is only possible when you nurture all three.
That’s why we believe that even if our boys don’t become professional footballers (BODY), and they don’t pursue an academic path (MIND), we know that they will still become the next generation of role models for a modern Tanzania in 10 years (SPIRIT). 🌟🧡
