We are Xin & Jantje, two ambitious students from Artevelde with the mission of changing the way people look at Chinese food. We believe that the Chinese cuisine doesn't get the recognition and praise as it deserves. Nowadays, people have a very misinformed and stereotypical view of Chinese food. In reality however the Chinese cuisine offers a whole world of new flavours, textures and aromas. The wide variation of seasoning and cooking techniques is what makes the Chinese cuisine so unique and special. Sadly enough, we don't see that kind of distinctiveness in the current representation of Chinese food.
As for this we founded our company, Yum'cha. In collaboration with The Box Vlaanderen, we were given the chance to put this idea into reality and open our own pop-up store. In this store we will be serving our fresh, handmade dumplings, emphasizing the idea of how unique and delicious, real authenthic Chinese food can be.
