Our history
Z-Marine was established in the spring of 1998, initially focusing on
service and maintenance within the fishing and marine industries.
In response to customer demand, the company gradually expanded its
capabilities and began developing its own product lines. Over the years,
this has evolved into a comprehensive portfolio that now includes cranes,
winches, hose and umbilical reels, and other advanced deck equipment.
In the spring of 2025, Hymech AS was integrated into Z-Marine,
strengthening our combined capabilities. Hymech traces its roots back
to 2004 and was founded as a service and maintenance provider for the
hydraulic and mechanical industries. The company has also developed
its own products and has had a strong focus on the oil and gas sector,
with key offerings including umbilical reels, winches, and hydraulic power
units (HPUs).
Together, we represent a broad field of expertise and decades of hands-
on experience. The merger allows us to serve an even wider range of
industries with tailored equipment, technical knowledge, and reliable
support—built on a strong foundation of engineering and innovation.
Who and where we are
Z-Marine is a Norwegian design and engineering company located on
Eigerøy in Egersund, Rogaland.
We specialize in developing and manufacturing robust, high-quality
equipment for the offshore, marine, fisheries, and aquaculture industries.
Our product range includes a wide variety of deck machinery and custom-
engineered systems designed to operate reliably in demanding maritime
environments.
In addition to our main facility in Norway, we have a dedicated subsidiary
in Klaipėda, Lithuania, responsible for engineering, technical support, and
project management.
With a strong foundation in Norwegian maritime traditions and a growing
international presence, Z-Marine serves customers across the globe and
provides responsive service through a skilled team ready to mobilize
wherever our equipment operates.
