Zachtfruit Schalkwijk is een innovatief familiebedrijf sinds 1981. Anton van Garderen heeft het bedrijf opgestart met 4 hectare grond. Inmiddels kunnen wij praten over 36 hectare grond waar vooral rode bessen worden geteeld. Daarnaast telen we ook bramen. Dit doen wij op verschillende locaties die verspreidt zijn over Schalkwijk (Utrecht). Zachtfruit Schalkwijk heeft een vakkundig team staan die gespecialiseerd is in het koelen en sorteren van zachtfruit wat van ons eigen land komt, maar ook van derden. Op het bedrijf in Schalkwijk verpakken en sorteren wij jaarrond zachtfruit. Wij telen meerdere rassen rode bessen. Door middel van de moderne bewaartechniek kunnen wij rode bessen bewaren t/m april. Rode bessen worden geoogst in de periode van juni t/m augustus. De bramen worden geoogst in de periode van augustus t/m oktober.
