Zafèn is a finance program for Haiti that links lenders and donors with small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and social projects. It launched April 1, 2010 by partners Fonkoze (the largest micro-finance institution in Haiti), the worldwide Vincentian Family, and the Haitian Diaspora, represented by the Haitian Hometown Association Resources Group. It’s a multi-lingual Internet pathway that enables anyone anywhere to make loans or donations to pre-screened projects that spur economic development.
Our mission is to give Haitian SMEs a successful experience using credit and building a credit history while creating opportunities for the Haitian Disapora and generous people around the world to empower Haitians through business and projects with a valuable social impact.
