Exclusive Sailing Institute De Bird has been an active sailing school since 1965, and it is the top when it comes to learning the fundamentals of sailing. The foundation for this is the unique accommodation, lovely location, professional staff and versatile fleet.
Sailing school De Bird is located on the Idzegaasterpoel near Heeg, Friesland, the nautical province of the Netherlands.
Due to the absence of other vessels this “private” sheltered lake is ideal for all sorts of boating activities. It is highly suitable for beginners with little or no sailing experience who can practice without worry, and experienced sailors who can train on the broad expanse of the lake.
The location, in combination with the unique accommodation makes De Bird a fitting sailing school to also receive companies and groups.
