Znanost u Prolazu (Science in Passing) is a grassroots initiative based in Croatia that brings science out of the lab and into everyday life.
We organize open-air science events, interactive workshops, and public discussions in non-traditional venues—such as public squares, parks, cafes, and marketplaces—to inspire curiosity and foster dialogue between researchers and the wider community.
Our mission is to:
✨ Demystify science by making it visible, relatable, and inclusive
🧬 Connect scientists and citizens through real conversations, not lectures
🌍 Promote critical thinking and evidence-based perspectives in public spaces
👫 Support scientists—especially early-career researchers and underrepresented voices—in communicating their work beyond academia
