Vers voedsel, rechtstreeks van de boer naar de zorginstelling en vervolgens vers op het bord van de zorgvrager. Het project Zorg om Voedsel stimuleert zorginstellingen om gezond en duurzaam geteeld voedsel direct in te kopen bij lokale producenten.
Het doel van Zorg om Voedsel is om zorginstellingen te verbinden aan lokale producenten in Regio Rivierenland. Het project onderzoekt ook in hoeverre woonzorginstellingen in de regio Rivierenland deels zelfvoorzienend kunnen worden in hun voedselvoorziening.
Zorg om Voedsel is een project binnen het Plattelands Ontwikkelings Programma (POP3), een Europees subsidieprogramma voor het ontwikkelen, verduurzamen en innoveren van de agrarische sector in Nederland. Het project loopt van januari 2019 tot juli 2023.
