جاءت الخطوة الأولى في العام 1958 م حيث وضع حجر الأساس
لمؤسسة سمنان للتجارة و الصيـانة واتجـهت في أعمـالها نحو
مجال الميــــــاه و محطات البنزين لما يقارب الأربعين عـــامًا ومواكبة
ً للنهضة الاقتصادية التي شهدتها المملكة العربية السعودية و بنــــــاء
على خطـط مدروسة قررت إنشاء أقسام متخصصة بكل ما يتعلق
بقطاعات الميـاه و مشـاريعها و تحولت إلى شركة سمنان للتجارة و
الصيانة في العام 1997 م، و قطف لثمار الجهد المبذولة خلال خمسة
عقود من الزمن ففي العام 2010 م قررت شركة سمنان ذات الجذور
السعودية الأصيلة تحويل أقســــامها إلى شــــركات ذات مسؤوليــــة
ُ محدودة تقودها وفق لرؤيتها التي وضعت، فكانت: شــركة سمنــان
لحلول المياه، شركة سنم الجزيرة للمشاريع المحدودة،
شـــركة سمنـــان للغطـــاسات، شـــركة ميـــاه لتقـــنية المياه
و البيــئة، شــركة سمنـــان للمســـابح الحديثة، شركة سمنان
البترولية، شـركة سمنـان الغذائية، شركة رزق للتجارة،
الحفي للمقاولات و شركة سمنان العقارية، منذ لحظة
التأسيس و جمعتها تحت مجموعة سمنان القابضة في العام 2011 م.
