中国儿童少年基金会（简称中国儿基会）成立于1981 年7 月28 日，是新中国成立后的第一家国家级公募基金会，隶属于全国妇联，在中国基金会序列中，被民政部评定为最高等级——5A级。康克清、陈慕华、顾秀莲、陈至立同志先后担任中国儿基会理事长（会长），现任理事长为全国妇联党组书记、副主席、书记处第一书记宋秀岩。彭丽媛同志担任中国儿童少年基金会春蕾计划促进女童教育特使。
