杭州杭港地铁有限公司成立于2012年9月
杭州杭港地铁有限公司（杭港地铁）系杭州市属大型企业杭州地铁集团有限责任公司与香港知名上市公司香港铁路有限公司在杭州共同组建的中外合作企业。股权共归双方所有，其中杭州市地铁集团全资拥有的杭州地铁1号线投资有限公司占51%股份，香港铁路有限公司全资拥有的港铁地铁1号线投资有限公司占49%股份。2012年9月28日，杭州市政府与杭州杭港地铁有限公司签署地铁1号线特许经营协议，特许经营权为25年。
杭州地铁1号线于2012年11月24日开通试运营，全长53.6公里，目前沿线设有34车站座，由杭州杭港地铁有限公司运营管理

Hangzhou MTR Corporation Limited (HZMTR), a joint venture of MTR Hangzhou Line 1 Investment Corporation Limited (shareholding 49%) and Hangzhou Metro line 1 Investment Corporation Limited. MTR Hangzhou Line 1 Investment Corporation Limited is a 100% owned subsidiary of MTR Corporation.
28 September 2012 HZMTR signed a Public-Private-Partnership Concession Agreement with Hangzhou Municipal Government for HZL1, and HZMTR is responsible for providing the electrical and mechanical systems and rolling stock for HZL1. The concession period is 25 years and revenue operation commenced on 24 November 2012.
Hangzhou Metro line 1 (HZL1) is operated by Hangzhou MTR Corporation Limited (HZMTR), Hangzhou Metro Line 1 is 53.6km in length with 34 stations.
