Het programma bestaat uit een breed overzicht van tentoonstellingen, artist talks, evenementen, publicaties, gesprekken, podcasts en een artist-in-residence programma. 1646 is een stichting die zich wijdt aan het creëeren van de ruimte en de middelen om kunstpraktijk te stimuleren. Door de focus op solo-projecten biedt 1646 een diepgravend inzicht in de kunstenaar en diens werk.
