Over 20 years ago, I started my translation and interpretation business on the side. I did great in part because I am a journalist by trade and have a solid command of the Spanish language, but also because I work using international Spanish accessible to all Spanish-speaking individuals regardless of their country of origin. After I receive a translation request, I assess the literacy level of the document and suggest to my client the best translation approach. It is worth translating literally or simplifying the Spanish version's content. 2. I offer to do an audio recording to support the comprehension of the written material and reinforce the information. 3. Finally, I propose creating an animated video of the content, which I do myself, keeping it affordable but professional.
