Hosted by Lulie Halstead and Felicity Carter, ‘A Question of Drinks’ Podcast allows two industry insiders to explore what really drives our choices in drinks.
Why do we drink what we do? Why do some drinks catch fire and some become popular for a short time, only to languish at the back of our drinks’ cupboards?
These are the questions that Lulie and Felicity are answering ‘A Question of Drinks’, conceived as the “Freakonomics of beverages”, is a podcast exploring the weird and wonderful economic, technological and social drivers that are responsible for influencing what it is we drink.
Episodes include asking what makes some wine styles popular, while others disappear, what’s driving the social shift towards moderation of alcohol consumption and whether award-winning wines taste better or not.
Other episodes include examining why gin grew - and then stopped growing; why everyone is drinking more rosé, and also dives into the world of why Guinness continues to win.
