De Amsterdamse Studenten Zwem Vereniging SPONS! Sinds 22 januari 1997 is SPONS dé studentenzwemvereniging van Amsterdam met de focus op water, gezelligheid en sportiviteit.
Een greep uit de activiteiten van SPONS: NSZK-competitie met bijbehorende feesten, het introduktie-weekend en eindfeest, kerstdiner, SPONSevenementen in het zwembad, clubkampioenschappen enz. Ook hebben we veel contact met studentenzwemverenigingen uit andere steden. Zo hebben we een gezamenlijke zwemcompetitie, waar niet alleen onderlinge rivaliteit maar ook gezeligheid een grote rol speelt. ASZV SPONS is in het seizoen 2008-2009 Kampioen NSZK (Nederlandse Studenten Zwem Kompetitie) geworden! In het seizoen 2009-2010 zijn we op 8 seconden tweede geworden maar na dit zwemseizoen staat de wissel beker na verwachting weer in onze stamkroeg.
SPONS heeft zijn eigen trainingstijden waar op elk niveau gezwommen kan worden. Samen trainen onder begeleiding van onze trainer Niesko om je conditie wat op te krikken, techniek te oefenen, elkaar op een andere manier te leren kennen en zo je studiehoofd te verfrissen. Na de training bezoeken we onze stamkroeg om het verloren vocht weer aan te vullen. Waar en hoe laat je kunt trainen is te vinden op onze website.
