I’m Karen Wallace with ABCs Connection. Welcome to this space! You are invited to the ABCs Connection website to explore your story with God as you sing the Psalms, engage by using the ABCs Journal together with your child, and establish affection for God and connection with your child. You will be wowed at how taking the Psalms to heart can help you to see and love Jesus and to connect! Singing the Psalms can help mothers, fathers, and children grow in your affection for God and in your connection with others. The ABCs Journal is a tool with prompts to help you connect with your child. By focusing just a few minutes a day with your child, each of you can steadily develop a new, healthy habit: a mindset of connection that will seem to come second nature by the time you get to the end of the alphabet! For mothers and fathers who are overloaded with work and pressed for time, ABCs Journal prompts can be starting points for conversation. Who knows what direction you and your child will take from there and where you will land? A little background I grew up in New Jersey and was a Commonwealth of Massachusetts resident for over 20 years where I went to BC and Harvard. I’ve lived in North Carolina since 2002, where I play tennis and watch NY Knicks basketball with my husband and the youngest of our three children. I like to cook and have friends over to eat, listen and talk together, and have conversations that center around Jesus, his church, and the gifts he provides! Having stuttered in my formative years, I tend to get thoughts worked out by writing. My writing is now focused on (You guessed it) how singing the Psalms can help us to see and love Jesus and to connect!
