The Accelerator Academy launched in London in November 2011, tasked with Educating Emerging Entrepreneurs.
A 12 week part time intensive training programme for ambitious entrepreneurs and early stage businesses from the tech, digital, social, ecommerce, media, mobile & marketing sectors. Working with first year businesses, the Academy helps entrepreneurs to proactively tackle growth challenges and build a business capable of serious scale and more likely to attract appropriate investment backing.
The four stage programme comprises:
* Entrepreneur assessment and skills mapping, in a process developed by Manchester Business School
* A 12 week training syllabus delivered by experts and partners, focussed on the participant's business
* One to One mentoring from exited entrepreneurs; high acheivers who have built and sold a relevant business
* Access to seed capital from an accompanying syndicate and the Accelerator Fund
The training course is subsidised and costs entrepreneurs the equivalent of £50 per week.
