Assas Common Law Society (ACLS) is an English-language association, founded in November 2016, affiliated with the "University Diploma of Civilization and Common Law Rights" at the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Its action has three main objectives.
ACLS dedicates itself to arousing interest in common law countries and their legal system. This is done through conferences and discussion tables focusing on common law rights, mock trials explaining the mechanisms of the English legal system, relaying news and events concerning Common Law countries and their consular missions in France.
ACLS wishes to integrate foreign students in exchange - especially in Erasmus - within the university. This objective is realized through the synergy of the association, group activities, such as writing articles or preparing events, and their implementation.
ACLS is committed to facilitating their stay in Paris by creating bonds between the students of the university.
ACLS promotes a special link between its members, academics, and common law professionals, theorists or practitioners. To this end, meetings with professionals are organized.
To optimize the effectiveness of its actions, ACLS meets in partnership with institutions that also carry out promotional missions for Common Law countries and offer hundreds of internships abroad.

Assas Common Law Society (ACLS) est une association de langue anglaise, fondée en novembre 2016, affiliée au «Diplôme universitaire de civilisation et droits de common law» de l'Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Son action a trois objectifs principaux.
L'ACLS se consacre à susciter l'intérêt pour les pays de common law et leur système juridique. Cela se fait par le biais de conférences et de tables de discussion axées sur les droits de common law, de procès fictifs expliquant les mécanismes du système juridique de common law, en relayant l’actualité concernant les pays de common law et leurs missions consulaires en France.
L'ACLS souhaite intégrer les étudiants étrangers en échange - notamment sur Erasmus - au sein de l'université. Cet objectif est poursuivi grâce à la synergie de l’association, aux activités de groupe, telles que la rédaction d’articles ou la préparation d’événements, et à leur mise en œuvre.
ACLS s'engage à faciliter leur séjour à Paris en créant des liens entre les étudiants de l'université.
L'ACLS encourage un lien particulier entre ses membres, les universitaires et les professionnels de la common law, les théoriciens ou les praticiens. À cette fin, des réunions avec des professionnels sont organisées.
Pour optimiser l'efficacité de ses actions, ACLS se réunit en partenariat avec des institutions qui effectuent également des missions de promotion pour les pays de common law et proposent des centaines de stages à l'étranger.
